Privacy

Genetic information deserves a higher standard of care.

Genetic and health-related information is sensitive. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the safeguards we apply.

Information we collect

Conversation content you choose to enter, including questions about health, family history and genetic results. We ask that you do not enter identifying details about other people without their agreement.

Account and contact details where you provide them, such as name, email address and organisation.

Technical information generated by using the service, including device type, browser, approximate region and interaction events used to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use it

To provide the conversational experience and maintain context within a conversation.

To allow authorised administrators and domain experts to review responses, identify knowledge gaps and improve the quality of future conversations. Review is carried out under human oversight and is not uncontrolled autonomous learning.

To keep the service secure, diagnose faults and meet legal obligations.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for processing health-related information you choose to share, on legitimate interests for security and service improvement, and on contract where you or your organisation hold an agreement with us.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it with processors who host and operate the service under contract, and with your organisation's authorised administrators where you use Dimmibiro through an organisational deployment.

Where an organisation deploys Dimmibiro, that organisation determines who within it may review conversations. Ask them for their own policy.

Retention

Conversation content is retained for as long as needed to provide and improve the service, and then deleted or anonymised according to the retention schedule agreed with the deploying organisation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, contact us through the contact page.

Not a medical record

Dimmibiro is not a medical device, does not diagnose conditions and does not form part of your clinical record. Conversations here are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
